Our Mission

Each year, there are approximately 38 police officers, 49 firemen, and 30 emergency medical responders lost in the line of duty due to vehicular accidents. We saw the numbers and decided that they were unacceptable. Our mission is to provide safer roads for emergency responders and reduce the time it takes for them to get from point A to point B, all with our app - SHIELD.

How it works

The SHIELD app uses real-time GPS tracking technology to notify drivers who are unknowingly sharing a route with a first responder. The app sends an audio notification to SHIELD users’ smartphones even before sirens can be heard, notifying them to keep the roads clear, and allowing our first responders to get to the emergency faster and more safely when seconds matter most. The real-time GPS signal travels with our first responders, keeping the SHIELD app updated with every turn, acceleration, or stop.
